Privacy Policy

Color Palette · Last updated October 29, 2026

This page explains how the Color Palette iOS app and its public website handle information. The app does not require an account.

Information in the app

Your palettes, saved colors, names, tags, notes, and preferences are stored on your device. The app does not send this content to a Color Palette server or sync it to a Color Palette account. Your device backup settings may include app data. If you export a backup, the exported file is under your control.

Photos you choose or take are processed on your device to extract colors. The app does not upload or save the source photo; it saves only the palette information you choose to keep.

Advertising and privacy choices

The free version uses Google Mobile Ads to show banner ads. The app does not ask for Apple’s permission to track you across other companies’ apps and websites. It disables Google’s publisher first-party ID and ad personalization for app ad requests. Google may still process information such as your IP address (which can indicate a general region), device identifiers, ads shown and interacted with, app interactions, diagnostics, and performance information to provide and measure ads, analyze performance, and improve its services. Google’s SDK and ad services have their own data practices. The app does not send your photos or saved palettes to Google for ads.

The app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform to request and manage advertising consent where required. When available, you can reopen your choices in the app’s Settings. You can also use controls provided by iOS and Google. Google explains its data practices in its Privacy Policy and iOS SDK data disclosure.

Premium is a one-time in-app purchase that removes ads. Apple processes the payment. The app receives purchase entitlement information through StoreKit; it does not receive your payment card details.

Camera and photo access

Camera or photo library access is used only when you choose to take or select a picture for color extraction. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings. You can use the app without granting camera access by choosing a photo instead.

Website analytics

The Color Palette home, support, and terms pages use Google Analytics through Firebase to understand site visits and performance. This privacy page does not load the analytics script. Google may process browser or device information and page interactions on the other pages. This website measurement is separate from the iOS app; it does not receive your saved palettes or photos. See Google’s Privacy Policy for details.

Storage and deletion

You can edit or delete palettes and colors in the app. Uninstalling the app removes its local data from the device, subject to any device backups you have chosen to keep. Exported backup files must be deleted separately. Information handled by Apple or Google is subject to their retention and deletion practices.

Children

Color Palette is a general-purpose design tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through the app. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information to us.

Your questions and privacy requests

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to certain uses of your information. Information stored in the app can be managed directly on your device. For questions or requests about the app, contact echoesandember@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.

Third-party services have their own privacy practices. Review their policies for details about information they process.
